One of the most important, but least talked about, aspects of creating compelling imagery are the atmosphere. There are two key elements I focus on while creating my work; light and atmosphere. The atmosphere is what allows you to build depth, varieties of texture, and a deep sense of moody weather in your photos.
In this video, I teach you everything I do in post-processing to enhance and create atmospherics. Topics covered include using the atmosphere to create depth between your foreground and background, when and where to introduce haze, using the atmosphere to help frame an image, targeted texture adjustments, building extra drama in waterfalls, creating and enhancing fog, getting the perfect rays of light, and how to correctly use glow/Orton-effect to enhance highlights and tone down busy scenes… with over 15 example photos.
